“Sossi, a Detroit attorney, ran a strong campaign against Banks with the help of her campaign manager…Mike Norris, who drove a strong narrative against Banks that he is untrustworthy.” - Small Business Association of Michigan, August 9, 2016

After serving as an Infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division, I attended Florida State University, where I received my B.S. in Political Science & Social Science in 2005.

During my senior year of undergraduate, I served as an intern in the office of Senator Carey Baker. Due to the sudden death of Senator Baker’s long time Chief of Staff, I was named Senator Baker's Legislative Aide and was one of only two Senate Chiefs of Staff under the age of thirty. In this position, I had the opportunity to present ninety-six bills before nineteen Senate Policy Committees and five Senate Appropriations Committees, achieving a 100% pass rate.

Since leaving the Florida Senate, I have consulted for the Republican National Committee, Republican Party of Florida, Heritage Foundation, National Federation of Independent Business and candidates in Florida, Georgia and Michigan at all levels of government.

From 2009-2011, I served as Secretary and Vice President of the Tampa Bay Young Republicans, as well as the Region V Vice Chair for the Florida Federation of Young Republicans.

In 2012, I attended the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida, as an Alternate Delegate.

During the 2018 Legislative Session, I served as the Legislative Aide for the Michigan Senate Assistant Minority Floor Leader.

In August 2019, I graduated from the George Washington University, where I received my Masters in Political Management. While at George Washington University, I was honored to have been named a member of Golden Key Honor Society and Phi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society.

In May 2022, I received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. While at Detroit Mercy Law, I served as the Secretary and President of the Veterans Law Society and competed as a member of the Veterans Law Moot Court in 2021 and 2022.

In October 2022, I was one (1) of five (5) recipients of the William G. Smith Scholarship for the National Organization of Veteran Advocates' Fall Conference.
